Getting Started with Mobile Platform

This guide will help you get up and running with the Mobile Platform quickly.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • iOS device (iOS 12.0+) or Android device (API level 21+)
  • Stable internet connection for initial setup
  • Valid Optim account credentials

Installation

iOS Installation

  1. App Store Download
Search for "Optim Mobile" in the App Store
Tap "Get" to download and install
  1. TestFlight (Beta)
    Install TestFlight from the App Store
    Use the invitation link provided by your administrator
    

Android Installation

  1. Google Play Store
Search for "Optim Mobile" in Google Play
Tap "Install" to download
  1. Direct APK (Enterprise)
    Download APK from internal distribution
    Enable "Unknown Sources" in Settings
    Install the APK file
    

Initial Setup

First Launch

  1. Accept Permissions

  2. Camera access (for document scanning)

  3. Location services (for location-based features)
  4. Notifications (for real-time updates)

  5. Account Setup

Enter your Optim username
Enter your password
Complete two-factor authentication if enabled
  1. Profile Configuration
  2. Set up your profile information
  3. Configure notification preferences
  4. Set up biometric authentication (recommended)

Data Synchronization

The app will automatically sync your data during first setup:

  1. Initial Sync

  2. Wait for the sync indicator to complete

  3. Ensure stable internet connection
  4. May take 2-5 minutes depending on data volume

  5. Verification

  6. Check that your data appears correctly
  7. Verify recent documents are available
  8. Test basic functionality

  1. Document Scanning
Tap the "+" button in Documents
Select "Scan Document"
Position document in frame
Tap capture button

Documents sync automatically for offline access
Green indicator = Available offline
Gray indicator = Online only

    Use the search bar at the top
    Search across all documents and messages
    Use filters to narrow results
